Pictures of changes 2006 to 2001 in my lego room corner

Progression of my madness making my lego room in the far right corner...

Lego room, lego organization, lego organization
These pics were from 2006 ish, I started to get more and more legos.  This store near us couldnt get rid of their legos so they kept putting them on clearance for about 75% off.  Things have changed but I really cleaned up on those sets.  The 2 black lid containers came from Walmart but the black lids are easily flushable.  My rug later got damaged by water getting in so the pics below show the blue mat I got on sale at toys r us

The green lid containers were on sale after Christmas at bed bath and beyond
I spent money on the white sterilite towers.  The drawers are really for scrapbooking but they are nice for bring some upstairs with a lid locked on.  There are 4 of them that were $20-29
. The bottom one did break on the bottom part where the wheel goes in the bottom

The white sterilite below were a great thrift store find. (4) 3 drawer cabinets for $3 each!

The weight of the legos started to smash the ssterilite with red lids underneath...I got a metal shelf at Sam's club (where the door person accused us of shoplifting it...we never went back there!!!) I think if I was going to shoplift I would have picked something lighter!!!

Below are just ways of arranging my legos.

Below are just ways I kept moving things around 2014-2021

I kept getting legos to where I got another smaller metal shelf.  I feel very blessed with being able to fill up the right corner of my room.

If this set had been released i dont know how but i would have gone broke

 A neoclassic proposed idea:

These ideas for an individual or separate sets are the best idea and creation I think I've seen on the lego ideas page.  The pics were also on Flickr and Pinterest!

I do not even have words to say how awesome these models are, I felt my heart rate go up when I thought legi was going to review them.  The colors, greebling, detailing, feeling of the original are just unreal.
I seriously don't know how but I would have gotten multiple of these sets if they had been made.  How do people do this, geez!!  Its got to be a difference in brain structure, as this is just amazing.  Shame on people not voting this in!!!

Unreal...I think these are perfect

Barnes and noble visit

I went to a Barnes and noble yesterday and was surprised that there were so many sets there.  What used to be medical books or nursing was so small and Legos have taken their place...maybe playing with legos is the new medicine everyone needs!

From Hustle, Jan 16, 2020 (pre pandemic!...little did we know what was ahead)

I love the architecture display B and N has, as far as I know this was the beginning of the black box style for adults.

I have this urge (controlled) to just start  ripping the boxes apart and building the ultimate creation without instructions...but then the price labels bring me back to reality like smelling salts to a passed out person.

Then there was a large lego area (that used to be all medical :(, its all so online now

The city, friends And star wars sets

All the good sets are behind the counter.  Miss the thrill of taking the box and looking at the box art and alternate builds.  I do like that when a model car or architecture set comes with info about the real structure!  Educational for sure

Makes me miss toys r us and cheaper sets that you could look at leisurely..now with what is paid, I would scoffed at getting a black box with fingerprints

Showing off my artwork, tried to do the Empire State building model out!!

No tractor show can rival a lego show

I've never gotten to go to a formal lego show via a user group

One December, I saw an ad for a toy tractor show...I assumed there had to be something lego there.  I parked far away as the lot was packed.  I walked around and there wasn't one lego in the whole place.  In my head I was imaging what this would be like at a lego themed show/swap meet.  Here are some pics I took...in anticipation of finding lego parts or sets that never came

Not one token lego set with box here but I kept holding out hope...

Tire rims..I was so wishing these were full of lego

If only there were legos in those sorter boxes

I wonder if some of these tires would have fit lego parts..I was getting "tired" of looking

Not one lego in that hallway

I hate green lego parts and green tractors

More parts...

So I left not caring about the tractors, they were neat but not lego!
So here is my compromise, lego tractors

I thought this 2018 inside tour tractor would be terribly expensive but it is $46

How could these people at the tractor show not have one lego tractor???  :)

Replicating the Eiffel tower in Lego

I love the Eiffel Tower and seeing is made out of Lego

I think the trick of building the tower is getting the base legs straight with inner connecting arches and  proportional to the top length of the straight vertical portion

The 2 pics above are from Las Vegas and the 3rd infogram from google images

The large lego tower did this great as a set

I think that the straight beams going up from the 4 corners in contrast. To the connecting round arches between the 4 towers are hard to do with square blocks!

Here's more great pics of mocs people have done...

I cannot find who did this on the internet but I think it is genius using smaller more detailed pieces in ways that I would never have thought of.

I like this build also for the intricate detail (pic above)
Yet another way to build the base of the tower (above pic)

Again, love the intricate detail is fantastic

Above 3 bricks are great pics of set 21019

Another group of 3 pics above from great designers!

The towers below nearly if not identical versions...
Unsure if book author of brick city book is different from creator of the tower featured

The gray small structure at the bottom corner of the last picture of the 3 above is positioned different from the middle picture between the two red brick city book pics.
Also the red cover versions have a small blue piece in front of the red bus and white car at the base

The 5 pics below are good renditions of the tower...they are from pinterest or google images
Love the details of the arch portion between the corner bases above

I like the use of simple elements above.  Up close it's rough to look at but in the distance it appears more complex

More detail from Sean Kenney above.  The guy is a master!

I like the darker color and the column use at the base

From pinterest above pic, minifig scale, unbelievable!

Finally, there is more from lego and legoland!

So it's amazing how much variation and construction techniques come from replicating 1 structure!
