Way too many drawer cabinets

Too many drawers

 I  was getting drawer cabinets so cheap til 2020 that I couldn't turn them down.  Now I am overwhelmed with nicely sorted legos but unable to use well as it is too hard to be mobile enough to get to the many drawer cabinets for parts.  As a result, I started donating/selling locally the cabinets.

I guess in the past all the great builders I see on the internet use the cabinets.  For me it turns out it is to choppy and hard to just build freely with a pile of mixed lego.  I cannot get around easy enough on my own   They work best for pieces I have a lot of duplicates from i.e. pick a brick.

So I guess the lessons learned is 1)don't go to excess buying one storage method 

2)  even though pros have these cabinets, without a place to lay needed drawers out, it is difficult to use small drawers in my opinion.

3) make sure the drawers are easily accessible. If you can't reach or combine separate pieces by being in close proximity it isn't helpful unless you're a pro.

I dream of having a professional organizer coming to save the day.  I can't do any moving now so I need someone to save the day!  So frustrating not to be able to move things.

Overwhelmed with lego

I cannot stand to balance nor carry except for sitting on a rollator or chair.  I gave away a lot of storage containers this weekend so hopefully will improve the amount of space to put plastic and lighter storage.

I'll just keep plugging away as able and try to get help for bigger containers.  

I used to think I wanted so many legos and containers and I do, but, it's a lot without strength, balance and range of motion.

What a year its been

 I am finally about to get to my basement as we got a stair lift.  I haven't been able to get down there for a year due to medical issues.  My wife took pics last week of how my room looked currently and thus, almost a year ago.  Time came to a stop.

I never realized what a gift going downstairs and back is and when I left this room the last time, I never dreamed that I would not see it for a year.

I also shouldn't have left a mess and things stored high with narrow aisles.

I'll definitely need help moving things
