I found my prized possession today
2 mobile labsLove the gray and blue color scheme in classic space! I obtained these in early days of ebay i.e. 1999 before exorbitant prices became the norm! I always crack up when now I see i.e. (hypothetical) 2 1x1 white bricks for $40 ha ha...it will then say in stock which it's going to be for a long time!
I Have to say that I don't know...although I'm not a completely a hoarder...just collecting a lot and unable to organize due to unforseen circumstances.
This week Ì had 2 people help me start cleaning my lego room. I pointed out what was trash and what was donate.
In the past, I had so many plans to make a cool diorama with using slot car track for roads...Lionel train tracks for trains until I got real lego track...etc...
Now I'm unable to set this up so I pitched the track. Instead, now I want to use pure legos for a diorama instead. The problem is that I planned to sort the legos but now I'm stuck with containers that look like bulk lego. I cannot get to sort the multiple containers.
Here's my dilemma in pics. Before and below is a pic of containers on floor and random sorted legos.
I built the speed Champions newer sets and most people love them but I had trouble putting them together. To reduce tightness And pushing together, the pieces on the other side of the car fall off as they arent locked at times.
The pieces that are small are hard to determine the chirality of. I feel like I'm trying to determine molecular structure with a model set while using then in a game of tetris. The pieces that are 1/4 size of a dot piece are hard to apply esp to small sections that are built. The small fender pieces fall off. I can't get the Lamborghini front to stay on and the Ferrari was very difficult. The pieces are hard to pick up like a coin on a table. The 007 car canopy won't stay on. (76911 set)
I don't claim to be the best or the fastest builder but I wouldn't call the cars relaxing to build. I think I'm old school where plates stack, headlight bricks were the thing, cars were studded ie police station.
Here's places I think it's hard to see instructions in the 007 car
Another problem I have is clipping subunits to bars...pieces fall off...i.e. ferrari (set 76914)
Also in the set 76914 above
I cannot get the black clips to attach to the gold oval 1x2 pieces and stay on in set 76915
And pieces i.e. the small silver pin pieces fall off as below...see step 3 below
The same problem occurred putting the 007 car together (not shown) 76911
Another place where pieces keep falling off during the build is as below in set 76914
Those pieces are hard to keep on and small to hold. Additional small subunits pieces are noted in set 76914
Hard to hold while assembling above as it falls apart if pieces are not tight together.
I think the lighting, fat fingers, too much force pushing, small pieces are just hard to do...obviously I'm not one of the quick builders. I don't blame lego, it's just me. Any tips or similar experiences would be appreciated in the comments section.
