Tonights moc

 I took a bag of 3 lego police cars I bought and made an moc.  It was an el Camino and station wagon Combination.

Classic space feel present also.  What I'm most happy with is using a locking technique with the gray 1x4 as it fused 1/3 parts of the body.

In 2016 I was in Indianapolis and found 1/2 price books carries used lego.  I ended buying their inventory. 

Someone even tried to sort them.

Frustrating that these stores are not available for me and with medical issues I can't get to them...but it was a great night..love lego money tiles, yellow wheel rims and silver harpoon.

Big vs. Little taxi

Being from the Midwest; taxis (and oceans!) are exciting things to see.  Simultaneously I have always liked the song Big yellow taxi.  Now when my wife took pics for me in New York of this life size lego taxi, the Lyrics of "paved paradise" and the excitement of seeing a real NY taxi fused together to bring together the. best of both.  A "free" museum, a taxi indoors, paved paradise in the Lego store.

For now though I'll stay with riding the little yellow taxi!  Much cheaper but life is not always "fare".

Beaten up boxes

 I've only trouble getting a non beat up box from lego...it was an eiffel tower that had to be shipped back 2 times before a clean and non dented product.

Fast forward to the new galaxy explorer.  People were getting beat up boxes and I just thought "how can a box in another shipping box get beat up.?"

Now I'm a believer in beat up boxes from the same store as other people complained about.

Non of the legos were hurt but can't they company attempt to deliver in better condition!  Now I see why the 3 police cars were $6.99 vs. $9.99!

If i could go back in time

 I wish I could go back in time and buy the following pieces

There are multiple elements but I would focus on the bigger wheels as in the mobile rocket launchers and 744 universal building sets.

 Dumbest lego moc but I liked it...

I hate green pieces but I had a bunch of them so I started messing with them and came up with this model...it's the oasis found in the midst of knockoff building blocks.

I added a sky background too (below)

So that's my desert oasis...I used to hate green but I'm warming up to it.

Favorite lego show pics in 2015

Today I found pics of my favorite lego show in 2015. 
I thought these pics were gone! Found these on a backup drive. 

The show had millions of grade schoolers so i was racing to stay ahead of the kids...this was to get good pics.  The exhibit was at the Philadelphia science museum.  The models were made by Nathan Sawaya.

Getting rid of old drawer cabinets

 Today my wife helped me to get drawer cabinets out while I sat and told her which ones I didn't need.

  Ultimately I planned a huge lego room with neatly organized cabinets but 2 floods got water on the cabinets and they rusted.  Some of the plastic drawers have a powder/metal residue present so I cannot wash them as I had in 2020.  I'm to the point where I really need bigger containers vs hundreds of drawers and I can't stand long enough to sort or get into the highest cabinets 

So now I'm still getting sad as I had fun collecting the cabinets in the past 2008 to 2020 but now it's over...but hopefully good times//better building will happen..we'll see.

I plan to try organizing more when wife helps move stuff!
